The whole idea of the Ichthus pins was conceived out of the need for Christians to “see, support and witness” to each other before and during the World Cup Soccer tournament held in South Africa during 2010.
It is now history but the words of Jesus in Mark 1:17 is sounding stronger in our ears than ever before: “..and Jesus said to them , follow Me and I will make you become fishers of men” and in 2 Tim 1:8 “..do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord”
With these powerful words and commands we have just formulated a new objective for the project “ To have as many as possible Christian participants and spectators to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, to wear an Ichthus Pin”
To make this dream come true we ask you to please assist in any way to spread this message, send me some contact names that can help to make this happen, and pray that the Lord will bless this initiative.
According to Wikipedea there are 195 countries in the world.
We would like to have 50 participating countries by the end of 2012, a 100 by the end of 2013 and 150 by the end of 2014.
From 2015 we will endevour to have a World Ichthus week on the calender of participating countries.
During this week Christians would wear their pins and actively engage in conversation with people, to be a witness of our faith and savior Jesus Christ.
